Tandem Festival celebrates international culture, fosters cooperation and inspires change. Come along to join us for a 3-day escape on the border of the Cotswolds.
Cycle-powered & volunteer-fuelled, Tandem Festival will give you the chance not only to spend a weekend adventuring in beautiful surroundings, but will transport you to different worlds through music, art, talks, workshops, film screenings and food that’s good for your soul and your taste buds as well as the planet.
We had a smashing 2017 edition of the festival, with an incredible weekend of arts and culture at the beautiful Lower Farm, Ramsden. See photos here!

Music & Arts
At Tandem Festival, listening is key. Our acoustic performance spaces, from barns to yurts, will bring you closer to the music, enabling the rediscovery of sound without large amplification. We encourage bands to turn off their amps & explore what they can do without them: expect to catch unique & intimate performances. By night, our outdoor main stage comes to life. This amplified space brings the whole festival together for en-masse music & dance!
We’re not just a music festival though – there will also be chances to dance, write, build, make, sew, learn and watch all sorts of other delights…
At Tandem we believe in sustainable living, and this is an ethos we want to share with our audience. At the festival’s last edition, we brought together over 50 community groups delivering talks, workshops & films that presented eco-friendliness in a way that’s engaging, fun & relevant. Alongside this, we work with artists in all mediums to produce art inspired by the environment & climate change.
We are lucky to know some incredible musicians and artistic talents local to Oxford – but we’re also part of a global family with rich and diverse cultures, and we want to celebrate that too! We invite artists and performers from across Europe and beyond to join us, bringing you specially-selected, talented emerging artists who rarely play in the UK.
We also encourage our artists to use the most eco-friendly method of transport possible – look out for bike convoys coming from several European countries!
