This year we are moving our local festival to the wonderful Lower Farm in Ramsden. If you have ideas, suggestions, or just want to get involved, get in touch! Explore photos of our past events in our lovely new gallery.
Music & Arts
At Tandem Festival, listening is key. Our acoustic performance spaces, from barns to yurts, will bring you closer to the music, enabling the rediscovery of sound without large amplification. We encourage bands to turn off their amps & explore what they can do without them: expect to catch unique & intimate performances. By night, our outdoor main stage comes into action. This amplified space brings the whole festival together for en-masse music & dance!
We’re not just a music festival though – there will also be theatre, dance, writing workshops, & art installations to tickle all your senses.
At Tandem we believe in sustainable living, & this is an ethos we want to share with our audience. At the Festival’s last edition, we brought together over 50 community groups delivering talks, workshops & films that presented eco-friendliness in a way that’s engaging, fun & relevant. Alongside this, we work with artists in all mediums to produce art inspired by the environment & climate change.
We are lucky to know some incredible musicians & artistic talents local to Oxford – but we’re also part of a global family with rich & diverse cultures, & we want to celebrate that too! We invite artists & performers from across Europe & beyond to join us, bringing you specially-selected, talented emerging artists who rarely play in the UK.
We also encourage our artists to use the most eco friendly method of transport possible – look out for bike convoys coming from several European countries!
